We told you about it yesterday, the MMORPG New World from Amazon, entered into firm Bta, seems to cause big problems for owners of RTX 3090 (at least some models). To the point of bricking (thus killing) the cards. Today the editor offers a tutorial to avoid this.

Imagine having an overpriced graphics card, in this case an RTX 3090, and totally crashing a point of no return just by playing the New World MMORPG. Nonsense? Well no, this is the feat of the game from Amazon obviously as you could see yesterday.
Aware of the concern, Amazon had to explain yourself on the game forums and even temporarily offer a tutorial to avoid any problem.
- Disable overloads in driver settings
- Make sure to press Apply
- Restart the game client
Amazon also advises in the graphics options to set a limit of FPS 60. Note that even with this solution, players continue to complain of GPU overheating problem.
If in doubt it is better to wait for an official patch. It is hard to imagine the publisher paying a new graphics card to the unfortunate people who now have a dead GPU in their hands.
