Game news Scarlet Nexus: Nonstop action in a cyberpunk anime universe!
Announced just over a year ago at an Xbox event, Scarlet Nexus is already available on consoles and PC. New Bandai Namco license developed by the Tales of Vesperia team, this time it is a cyberpunk-style sci-fi universe. With its energized and dynamic fights, does the title look like a new benchmark of Japanese-style Action-RPG? Answer in our test video!
In Scarlet Nexus, the Humane develops psionic powers after the discovery of a new hormone. At the same time, mysterious creatures called the Others land on Earth with the aim of devouring the brains of humans. To fight against this threat, people come together to build a new society by connecting their minds to each other. Then follows the creation of the BEA, the Elimination of Others Brigade, to eliminate these invaders only sensitive to psionic powers. In this context, the game invites you to play as Yuito or Kasane, two characters with different backgrounds but with similar powers.
If the game offers a dark and complex storyline, it is unfortunately served by a minimalist staging. But in reality, its great strength lies in its dynamic and flying combats. From the start, the game gives a great feeling of power to the player with the joystick in hand thanks to the power of psychokinesis that allows objects to be thrown at your opponents. Later, you can also borrow the powers of your allies to create even more impressive chains. Next to the main story which will take you about twenty hours, the title unfortunately does not offer substantial additional content, only secondary objectives to be fulfilled outside the plot. Ditto for exploration, relatively set aside by the levels that take the form of corridors.
