It now appears that the second hypothesis was the correct one. Indeed, Tag Heuer has just updated its site with all the information about this watch. And his name sets the tone: TAG Heuer Connected x Super Mario.
Behind this name therefore hides a connected watch from Tag Heuer running on Watch OS to which features related to the Nintendo mascot have been added. For those who like to use smartwatches to monitor their physical activity, an application keeps track of the steps taken during a day and displays Mario-related animations at each level reached.
For a goal of 10,000 steps per day, Mario receives a Super Mushroom 2,500 steps, he exits his famous pipe 5,000 steps, recovers a Super Canvas 7,500 steps and reaches the famous 10,000 step flag.
